Job Description

Responsibilities

  • This multi-function position reports to the Communications Manager and supports the activities of the department along with the Executive Office. This includes support for the Authority’s Board of Directors, their meetings and activities. The individual will work with the Chief of Staff and Director of Communications to support and ensure effective communication to the organization from the Executive Office. Requires an energetic and flexible individual who can handle multiple priorities.
  • Support the activities of the Communications Department and the Executive Office. Assist with internal and external communications, including, but not limited to internal employee app, weekly e-news, internal message boards, external message boards, and monthly CEO video message.
  • Collaborate on the annual communications plan and strategy to help build on the CDTA brand image. Monitor CDTA’s online media presence and reputation and report that monthly to the Chief of Staff and Director of Communications.
  • Provide support for community engagement activities, corporate events, news conferences and related media activities.
  • Maintain a listing of corporate contacts and external relationships. Organize contact information with the ability to sort and identify as required.
  • Assist with the writing and development of press releases and associated public relations materials.
  • Coordinate volunteers, support staff, vendors and more to support internal events.
  • Provide administrative support to the Executive Office and Communications Department.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field with 2-4 years of experience in a communication or corporate communications office setting or equivalent.
  • Proficient in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment, exceptional communication skills, superior organization skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.
