Job Summary

Own and optimize on-the-ground canvassing outreach to recruit supporters, capture feedback, and build a durable community network.

  • Outreach Execution: Plan and conduct door-to-door canvassing to introduce the organization and explain programs.
  • Engagement & Relationship Building: Engage residents, negotiate participation or donations, and collect contact details.
  • Tracking & Collaboration: Maintain contact records, share best practices with the team, and coordinate follow-ups.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conduct canvassing campaigns to introduce our organization’s mission and programs to community members
  • Engage residents with enthusiasm, clearly explaining the purpose of our outreach efforts and answering questions
  • Collect feedback and gather contact information to build a strong network of supporters
  • Utilize effective sales techniques, including negotiation and persuasion, to encourage participation or donations
  • Maintain detailed records of interactions, outcomes, and follow-up needs for each contact
  • Collaborate with team members to strategize outreach plans and share best practices for maximum engagement
  • Represent the organization professionally at all times, demonstrating excellent communication skills and a positive attitude

Requirements

  • Proven experience in supervising or leading teams is preferred but not required; strong leadership qualities are a plus
  • Background in marketing, customer service, sales, or telemarketing enhances effectiveness in this role
  • Bilingual abilities are highly valued to connect with diverse communities effectively
  • Previous experience in door-to-door canvassing or fundraising is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate and build rapport quickly
  • Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, records, and follow-ups efficiently
  • Ability to stand, walk extensively outdoors, and work flexible hours as needed
