Description
The Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service (GSS) invites applications for a non-tenure track, full-time Clinical Faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor for the academic year 2026-2027.
Located in the heart of New York City, Fordham GSS is recognized for its forward-thinking competency-based curriculum and innovative academic programming. U.S. News and World Report ranks the school among the top 10% nationally. It offers baccalaureate (BASW), master's (MSW), and doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees in social work. Programs are delivered across three campuses—Manhattan, Westchester, and Long Island—and online.

Fordham University seeks candidates with extensive clinical qualifications and experience across all areas of social work practice. GSS has a particular need for an experienced palliative care practitioner/educator.
The ideal candidate will be a dynamic and forward-thinking colleague with a profound understanding of contemporary challenges confronting social work practitioners and social service organizations. Clinical faculty are essential members of the GSS community, drawing on their clinical practice skills and experience to enrich the school's competency-based curriculum. Successful candidates will demonstrate a clear commitment and capacity to engage and foster students' academic and professional development, both within and outside the classroom.
Qualifications
Applicants must hold an MSW, a doctorate in social work or a related discipline from an accredited institution, and current clinical licensure in New York State. Applicants at the Associate level should have a minimum of ten (10) years of clinical social work practice experience and at least 5 years of teaching experience.
