Job Description
The Client-Facing Website Project Manager owns the client relationship and delivery experience from contract close through website launch, ensuring all websites are completed on time, on scope, and within the 90-day fulfillment window.
This role serves as the single point of contact during onboarding and website production, managing internal execution across design, copy, and development. During this process th PM will be working with the website pod, which includes a website developer and a copywriter.
Once the website is launched, the Project Manager executes a structured handoff to the Client Success Manager (CSM), who owns the ongoing SEO relationship.
Core Responsibilities
- Client Onboarding & Expectation Setting: Own and lead all website kickoff and onboarding activities, clearly communicating scope, timelines, milestones, and client responsibilities. Ensure all required assets, logins, and intake forms are collected on time, establish communication standards, and proactively prevent delays so clients always know what’s happening, what’s included, and what comes next.
- Website Project Ownership (End‑to‑End): Own the website delivery timeline from kickoff through launch by translating client goals into clear internal tasks and coordinating designers, copywriters, developers, and SEO stakeholders. Manage revisions, approvals, and scope to ensure all projects are completed within the 90‑day window, remaining fully accountable for delivery outcomes.
- Client Communication & Experience: Serve as the client’s primary point of contact throughout website fulfillment and for website-related support requests. Manage incoming support requests by clarifying client needs, determining scope, coordinating with developers, and setting clear timelines, while also providing proactive status updates and milestone check-ins.
- Website Page Upsells: Identify and present opportunities for additional website pages that improve conversion, SEO foundation, clarity, or credibility early in the build process. Follow all upsell guardrails by offering approved packages only, using fixed pricing, clearly communicating timeline impact, and ensuring all upsells are documented, paid, and scoped before execution.
- Quality Control & Launch Readiness: Ensure all websites meet defined scope, quality, and functional standards prior to launch, including verifying forms, tracking, and required integrations. Coordinate internal approvals and prepare clients for post‑launch expectations to ensure a smooth and confident go‑live.
- Structured Handoff to Client Success Manager (CSM): Execute a seamless internal and client‑facing handoff by transferring all relevant context, including goals, delivered pages (including upsells), communication style, and any sensitivities or expectations. Position the CSM as the long‑term strategic partner so clients experience continuity rather than transition friction.
- Website Support Request: Coordinate website‑related hosting support requests by clarifying client needs, aligning requests to the included monthly support scope, coordinating execution with developers, and setting clear expectations and timelines. This responsibility is limited to intake, coordination, and timeline management, not execution.
