Job Description

Westfield Specialty Insurance is seeking a talented and motivated claims professional to join our team. In this role, you will proactively investigate and manage a portfolio of primary and excess Technology Errors & Omissions (E&O) and Media Liability claims, delivering exceptional service and driving effective outcomes.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage and resolve a portfolio of primary and excess technology E&O and media liability claims from inception through resolution.
  • Handle additional claim types as needed, including first-party cyber and third-party privacy and network security liability claims.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through clear, timely, and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with underwriters, actuaries, brokers, insureds, defense counsel, and senior management to ensure effective claim handling and alignment with business objectives.
  • Represent the company in mediations and settlement conferences, leveraging strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Identify, analyze, and communicate emerging industry trends and claim developments to support strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable statutory regulations and Unfair Claims Practices Acts.

Qualifications 

  • 3–5 years of claims handling experience in Technology E&O and Media Liability, or relevant legal experience. Candidates with strong Cyber Liability or Professional Liability experience and a demonstrated interest in transitioning into Technology E&O and Media Liability will also be considered.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree preferred.
  • Prior claims leadership or management experience is a plus.
  • Active adjuster licenses strongly preferred; willingness and ability to obtain required licenses upon employment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, listening, and negotiation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Collaborative mindset with a genuine desire to contribute to a high-performing team.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
