Job Summary

Own the congregation’s media presence with end-to-end ownership from plan to on-site execution, focusing on reach, calendar communication, and data-driven optimization.

  • Media Planning: Own planning and execution for worship and outreach campaigns across digital and print channels.
  • Calendar & Communications: Coordinate weekly messages, e-newsletters, and events with on-site collaboration.
  • Performance & Optimization: Monitor results and push data-based tweaks to improve reach and engagement.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement media posts, website updates, and outreach strategies to effectively reach target audiences
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create and execute media plans (this requires some on-site time)
  • Create and coordinate media with weekly message and order of worship
  • Coordinate with various committees and groups to post and communicate calendar events
  • Coordinate content and communication with a weekly e-newsletter and digital sign messaging
  • Participate in developing periodic reports including an annual report to the congregation
  • Monitor and analyze media performance, making data-driven recommendations for optimization
  • Connect members and friends during times of need in their lives (this requires some on-site time)
  • Manage promotional campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and social media
  • Oversee the production of creative assets for media campaigns

Requirements

  • Effective communication and organizational skills inside and outside the congregation
  • Ability to exercise compassion and discretion in dealing with a variety of people
  • Strong knowledge of media planning, presentation development, and advertising principles
  • Familiarity with digital advertising platforms, such as Google Ads, YouTube, etc.
  • Understanding of social media marketing best practices
  • Ability to negotiate contracts and pricing with media vendors
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities
  • Familiarity with print advertising processes and requirements
  • On-site at least 3 mornings per week (hybrid work requirement)

Preferred

  • Experience updating websites and posting on social media platforms
