Job Summary

Everyone Eats Catering, part of Villagio Hospitality Group, delivers exceptional culinary experiences for weddings, corporate events, and private gatherings. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Operations Manager to join our team.

This hands-on leadership role is responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of catering execution - from commissary and warehouse organization to event logistics, load-outs, food safety, staffing coordination, and off-site event execution. The Catering Operations Manager serves as a key operational leader and secondary Event Captain for full-service events, ensuring every event reflects Villagio Hospitality Group’s standards of excellence, hospitality, professionalism, and operational execution.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Logistics & Operations

  • Oversee proper load-out and load-in procedures in coordination with Chefs and delivery drivers.
  • Oversee event loading timelines to ensure all catering orders depart accurately and on schedule.
  • Manage vehicle schedules and ensure required maintenance reporting is completed on time.
  • Ensure proper organization, cleanliness, and inventory of all catering equipment, smallwares, linens, and supplies.
  • Maintain par levels and operational readiness of catering equipment and operational supplies.
  • Assist the Chef Team and Banquet Captain with weekly paper and supply ordering.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and operational standards within commissary and storage areas.
  • Coordinate staffing support and operational labor needs for off-site events.

Food Quality & Safety

  • Ensure food quality and food safety standards are met for all drop-off and full-service catering orders.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and company policies across all events and deliveries.
  • Maintain safe operational procedures for transportation, setup, and service execution.
  • Support cleanliness and sanitation standards for all catering equipment, vehicles, and event operations.

Event Preparation & Execution

  • Execute print packets - including labels, signage, floorplans, timelines, and event materials - for all drop-off and full-service catering orders a minimum of 24 hours prior to each event.
  • Serve as onsite operational lead and secondary Event Captain for full-service events as dictated by event schedules.
  • Support setup, breakdown, and post-event operational reconciliation procedures.
  • Ensure all event equipment, rentals, and supplies are properly accounted for before and after events.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues in real time while maintaining Villagio Hospitality Group hospitality and service standards.
  • Attend weekly BEO meetings with the catering operations and sales team.
  • Assist the sales team with targeted marketing efforts and operational event planning as schedule allows.
  • Protect and uphold Villagio Hospitality Group brand standards through operational excellence, professionalism, and hospitality-focused leadership at every event.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly during live events
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume event environments.
  • Ability to lead teams calmly and professionally under pressure
  • Professional appearance with a guest-first mindset.
  • Ability to safely operate standard foodservice equipment.
  • Knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle operation

Education/Training/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of catering, banquet leadership, or similar experience operations experience
  • Prior management experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required (CDL a plus).
  • Knowledge of food, beverage, and wine service preferred.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs continuously in event environments.
