Own mission integration and donor cultivation within a blood cancer nonprofit, while driving peer to peer fundraising and building a scalable volunteer network that feeds revenue growth.

  • Mission & Stewardship: Align education, services, and health research partners to communicate priorities and mobilize donors for local events and national stewardship.
  • Fundraising Ownership: Lead peer-to-peer campaigns and influence the strategic plan for fundraising products, including revenue, budgets, and timelines.
  • Volunteer & Donor Network: Recruit top volunteers, engage key constituents, and secure new partners through proactive outreach and relationship building.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Mission Integration: Partner with Education, Services and Health Research to effectively communicate the Blood Cancer United overall mission, programs, resources, and priorities.
  • Peer-to-Peer Fundraising: Drive high-impact peer to peer fundraising to achieve overall revenue goals.
  • Strategic Planning Input: Provide input into the development of a strategic plan for the peer-to-peer fundraising products, including revenue, budget, goals and timelines.
  • Execution of Strategy: Execute innovative strategic plan developed annually and revised periodically to ensure team exceeds all revenue goals.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with local relationship team and national shared service partners throughout Blood Cancer United.
  • Volunteer & Network Management: Recruit and cultivate high-level volunteer committees and fundraising volunteers who participate in peer-to-peer fundraising products, driving revenue growth and goal achievement.
  • Donor Engagement: Identify and network with constituents and key donors to engage their support of Blood Cancer United fundraising products.
  • Recruitment Plans: Develop recruitment plans and actively secure new partners through independent research, prospecting and volunteer relationship building.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4 - 6 years’ experience in a directly relatable role
  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of multiple sales channels including digital and social media
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to supervise and lead a group of volunteers
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines effectively
  • Ability to influence and persuade others
  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of campaign success requirements and execution, including KPIs and accurate forecasting
  • Works with complex or large campaigns and pipeline development with good market, community and constituent perspectives
