Job Summary

Support a community-focused, part-time communications role coordinating events, onboarding, and member engagement for Bucks County families.

  • Own member onboarding, profile updates, and weekly content like the High Five newsletter.
  • Must-have: Strong written/verbal communication and comfort with Google Suite, WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva, and Asana.
  • Standout: Local knowledge of schools and neighborhoods plus self-starter collaboration style.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Keep the event calendar current, accurate, and full of things families will love
  • Reach out to local businesses and organizations to introduce the membership community (warm, relationship-first outreach)
  • Build and refresh Member Profile Pages, treating each as a genuine relationship
  • Welcome new members through onboarding and explain the value of their join
  • Prepare the weekly High Five newsletter and help gather content
  • Load stories into WordPress (contributing writers, sponsored content, community posts)
  • Monitor the Facebook group and support community engagement
  • Flag members needing extra attention to the Development Manager
  • Submit a short weekly report every Friday

Requirements

  • Based in Bucks County
  • Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable in Google Suite, WordPress, Mailchimp, Canva, and Asana (or eager to learn)
  • Understanding of the local family landscape — schools, neighborhoods, community events, the vibe
  • Self-starter who works well without micromanagement and enjoys collaboration
  • Recent graduate in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field (education requirement)
  • Experience in admin, communications, or marketing and seeking a role with heart

Preferred

  • Interest in content, community, and digital media as a focus area
  • Experience or interest in local community/events is a plus
