Intern, Web Developer
Irvine, CA / Full-time Temporary
Job Purpose Statement
The Web Developer Internship is a paid internship that will support the “Digital Business & D2C“ Department. This position works closely with other departments to design, develop and implement web-based solutions that will help improve overall consumer experience on our brand websites.
Reporting Structure
Report to:
Head of Digital Solutions
- Manage and update website content using Content Management Systems (CMS) such as ContentStack, WordPress or similar platforms
- Develop and maintain web pages and user interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Next.js.
- Provide web design and development expertise in support of both new development tasks and ongoing maintenance of our brand websites
- Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly web experiences across desktop and mobile devices.
- Help maintain code quality, and consistently write clean, modular, readable, testable and maintainable code
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and development teams to implement website updates and digital campaigns.
- Optimize websites for performance, SEO, GEO and accessibility.
- Identify problems, research solutions, and collaborate with the team to devise plans to solve these problems.
- Support analytics implementation, tag management, and website reporting
- Troubleshoot and resolve content-related and technical website issues.
- Perform all other duties assigned
Specific Knowledge:
- Proficient with some server-side development (ASP.NET, PHP or Java Servlets)
- Experience with a CMS (WordPress, ContentStack)
- Experience with React and Next.js frameworks
- Excellent understanding of OO programming
- Good Knowledge on front end web development skills (HTML / CSS/JavaScript)
- Advanced JavaScript skills including jQuery / AJAX
- Working knowledge of SQL and GitHub
- Understanding of web accessibility and SEO fundamentals.
- Familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or Google Tag Manager.
- Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation)
- Analytical mindset with a desire to constantly learn, improve and innovate
- Able to multi-task and prioritize projects as per the needs of the business.
- Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
- Organizational skills and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
Educational Requirements
Education/Certificate: Four-Year College; Computer Science or related discipline; Required
Required Experience
Years of Experience:
0-2 Years Relevant work experience - Required
0-2 Years Experience with a CMS (WordPress, ContentStack) - Preferred
0-2 Years Experience with React and Next.js frameworks - Preferred
