Job Description
THE JOB AT A GLANCE
The Brand Traffic Controller supports operational excellence within Shared Services by coordinating task flow, strengthening cross-functional communication and ensuring disciplined workflow management across teams.
The role is accountable for maintaining clear visibility of priorities, deadlines and resource allocation, ensuring that work moves efficiently across Shared Services, Analytics and Operations environments. By proactively monitoring task progress, managing dependencies and identifying risks early, the role minimizes bottlenecks and protects delivery timelines.
Through structured coordination, reporting discipline and continuous process refinement, the Traffic Controller enhances service reliability, improves operational efficiency and ensures alignment with business priorities and performance expectations.
By ensuring disciplined task coordination and resource alignment, the Traffic Controller strengthens service delivery efficiency and supports the broader strategic objectives of the People and Brand division.
What You Will Do
Task & Workflow Management
- Oversee the flow of tasks across Shared Services, ensuring alignment to agreed priorities and deadlines
- Monitor workload distribution and ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Maintain structured task tracking systems to provide visibility across the team
- Identify and address workflow gaps that may delay delivery.
- Act as liaison between Shared Services, Analytics and Operations teams
- Facilitate clear communication on priorities, dependencies and progress
- Ensure alignment between teams to prevent duplication or delays
- Resolve coordination issues proactively to avoid operational bottlenecks.
- Monitor resource allocation to ensure optimal utilisation across projects
- Maintain schedules and timelines to support efficient project delivery
- Assist with capacity planning and workload balancing
- Support the Team Leader in prioritisation and sequencing of work.
- Provide regular status updates to the Team Leader on task progress and risks
- Prepare reports on workload, timelines and delivery performance
- Flag delays or emerging risks early and escalate where required
- Maintain transparent communication across stakeholders.
- Continuously review traffic management processes to improve efficiency
- Identify opportunities to streamline task coordination systems
- Support refinement of workflow tools and shared service practices
- Promote disciplined task governance and operational clarity.

Job Requirements
What You'll Bring To The Table
- Degree (NQF Level 7) in Business Administration, Operations Management or related field
- 3–5 years’ experience in project coordination, operations or workflow management
- Experience working in shared services or cross-functional environments advantageous
- Familiarity with project and workflow tools such as MS Project, Asana, Trello or Jira
- Knowledge of workflow management and task prioritisation techniques
- Understanding of resource allocation and scheduling principles
- Familiarity with project coordination tools and systems
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination capability
- Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptability and proactive approach to workflow optimization.
