Job Summary
Own market intelligence to shape branding and portfolio strategy, focusing on category dynamics, competitive activity, and consumer/product trends.
- Growth/Portfolio: Monitor market signals and brand performance, and translate findings into actionable product or packaging ideas and briefs.
- Collaboration: Partner with Product Management to review sales data, generate reports, and surface recommendations for brand improvement.
- Feasibility & Execution: Coordinate cross-functional efforts to assess feasibility, manage deadlines, and track margins during product development.
Job Description
- Continually monitor and assess the market to understand category sales performance
- Continually monitor and assess the market to understand competitive activity
- Continually monitor and assess the market to understand consumer trends
- Continually monitor and assess the market to understand product trends
- Work with Product Manager on monitoring brand performance by reviewing sales reports; creating sales reports as needed
- Work with Product Manager on monitoring brand performance by analyzing sales trends and brand performance
- Work with Product Manager on monitoring brand performance by making recommendations for improvement
- Support portfolio expansion by continually brainstorming new product/packaging ideas
- Support portfolio expansion by developing written product concepts
- Support portfolio expansion by preparing new product briefs
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Marketing; Master’s a plus
- At least 2 years Marketing/Product Management experience in manufacturing environment; Consumer Products/Personal Care category preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- SAP experience a plus
- Experience at sorting/filtering data sets, and creating data charts
- Experience with syndicated retail sales data
- Effective written and verbal communication
- SAP experience a plus
