Job Description
- Be an innovative maker, curious and experimental, with a love for tinkering, iterating, and creating beautiful, impactful designs
- Develop and uphold a creative vision that aligns with Stripe’s brand identity and elevates the visual system across diverse surfaces
- Design and execute high-quality visual concepts and brand assets that communicate a compelling narrative
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to generate ideas, develop digital tools, and craft brand systems that reflect an optimistic and progressive future
- Partner with cross-functional teams to refine and expand upon creative concepts, ensuring consistency and excellence
- Provide and solicit constructive feedback to foster growth and elevate design quality within the team
- Mentor and inspire fellow designers, sharing best practices, processes, and innovative techniques
- Lead and steward large-scale design projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals
- 8+ years of relevant design and art direction experience for technical and product-driven companies
- Proven experience working on a variety of experimental projects demonstrating expertise in design, creative technology, typography, and art direction
- Strong track record of independently delivering high-quality work and influencing teams, contractors, and agencies
- Deep strategic understanding of building leading brands in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Keynote, and Google Slides
- Experience with AI tools for generating ideas, stakeholder visualization, and scaling design efforts
- Exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Genuine curiosity, ambition, and creativity with a refined sense of design and typography
- Digital savviness and a deep appreciation for the creative process, technology, and design engineering
- Excellent organization, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
- Competitive annual salary range of $210,400 – $315,600 (USD), with potential for bonuses and commissions
