Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Establish, shape, and execute the overall strategy and operating model for PE departmental functions of marketing, communications, enrollment, and business development at the portfolio level, in collaboration with the Director of PE.
  • Lead efforts to identify and evaluate new market opportunities systematically, whether conducted in-house or in partnership with external vendors.
  • Build and operationalize a scalable go-to-market protocol for launching new program campaigns.
  • In collaboration with faculty, senior leadership, and other colleagues across the School, develop and maintain the core messaging and narrative that raises the visibility of SEAS PE and conveys the value of professional learning from SEAS, ensuring a positive and consistent user experience.
  • Participate in School- and University-level working groups related to marketing, business development, enrollment, and professional and lifelong learning.
  • Maintain adherence to School and University guidelines for judicious, ethical, and effective deployment and scaling of generative AI tools in marketing and business development activities.
  • Delegate tasks to PE team members with clarity and appropriate scaffolding.
  • Support departmental administrative and delivery duties as assigned.
  • Marketing and Enrollment: Set and manage the annual marketing budget, aligning investments with strategy, channel performance, and return on investment (ROI), in collaboration with the Director.
  • Advance the use of Salesforce for establishing a platform funnel, automating marketing and email campaigns, implementing event- and trigger-based communications, and selecting and measuring success metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of seven years of progressive experience in enrollment marketing and/or business development, including leading marketing strategy at the brand or identity level.
  • Experience with CRMs/marketing automation platforms and digital marketing including tools and analytics.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a research university or comparable complex organization; experience with STEM audiences a strong plus.
  • Experience with professional and lifelong learning audiences.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce Education Cloud is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing external vendors or agencies.
  • Knowledge of digital accessibility best practices.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write, edit, and review content for a variety of marketing channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to set priorities and manage competing demands; strong project management and coordination skills.
