Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the broader corporate communications team on brand initiatives, projects and company-wide announcements.
  • Develop external communications activities and deliverables, including speaking engagements, media plans and outreach, and expertise POVs.
  • Identify and mine for compelling and novel stories around the organization and across the industry and translate that into external content, stories and media opportunities.
  • Work with the team SMEs to implement integrated communications programs that embrace all areas of communications, including branding, reputation, media relations, social media and crisis/emergent issues.
  • Collaborate and partner with teams across Riot to support their external communications efforts and storytelling (enterprise, games, publishing, esports, entertainment).
  • Develop high-quality written materials, including press releases, media research, background materials, planning and briefing docs, amplification plans that are channel agnostic, and executive communications.
  • Identify and evaluate conference and award opportunities, building relationships with key organizers and points of contact.
  • Monitor and report around campaigns, launches, crises, and understand conversation drivers and trends utilizing tools like MuckRack and Meltwater/Talkwalker.
  • Maintain and update comms-related materials (website, bios, messaging guides, conference and award trackers, reporter databases etc.).
  • Support daily media monitoring and clipping, tracking coverage across gaming, tech, and business press.
