INNOCEAN USA, a full-service advertising agency located in Huntington Beach, CA is seeking an Associate Business Affairs Manager to join our growing team!

SUMMARY OF POSITION

This position provides the unique opportunity to join the Legal & Business Affairs team at an agency with an abundant portfolio of global experience, spearheading the realization of new ideas & creativity.

The Legal Business Affairs Associate Manager will develop expertise in the SAG-AFTRA Commercials contract, vendor and talent payments, rights and clearances, and related matters. The Associate Manager will report to the Executive Director of Legal & Business Affairs and help oversee broadcast and digital content production across clients and the agency network in partnership with a Senior Manager. The ideal candidate is collaborative, entrepreneurial, and able to thrive in a fast-paced creative environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with Finance to onboard new vendors for all projects
• Process purchase orders and invoices
• Process talent session payments through XR
• Manage talent and rights expirations and renewals
• Monitor production costs with producers and Legal & Business Affairs team members through job reconciliation
• Coordinate with external vendors, including talent agents, union representatives, licensors, music providers, and production companies
• Collaborate across departments as needed
• Prepare completion reports with producers and Business Affairs team members for all projects
• Prepare estimates for production and related projects as needed
• Research performance rights organization databases to determine music ownership breakdowns
• Track commercial, video, licensing, and agreement expirations and partner with account teams on extensions or renegotiations
• Partner with Legal & Business Affairs team members and the Director on professional development within the department

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 years related experience in an advertising agency or commercial production
• Some knowledge of SAG-AFTRA & AFM commercial contracts is preferred
• Some knowledge of XR’s Ad Bridge platform is preferred
• Deep interest in Production & Advertising

The salary range for this role is $70,304-$80,000. Pay is dependent upon several factors including but not limited to: experience, training, transferable skills, and client.
