Job Summary

Own the teaching and program oversight for Public Relations through a roster of core courses, with additional emphasis on mentoring student leaders and shaping internship curricula.

Teach and update a range of PR and media courses to keep the program current.
Mentor students, co-lead the PRSA chapter, and guide internship curriculum in governance settings.
Collaborate on division governance to influence Seaver College curriculum and program outcomes.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Teach several courses within the Public Relations and relevant programs, including Introduction to Public Relations, Public Relations Writing, Public Relations Strategies and Techniques, and other relevant/current topics in Public Relations.
The ability to teach general media courses, such as Media Writing & Storytelling, Communication Theories and Media Research, is preferred.
Mentor and advise majors, co-advise the Public Relations Society of America chapter, oversee the curriculum component of student internships, and participate in the governance and committee work of the Communication Division and Seaver College.
