Job Summary

Own the athletics marketing for multiple programs, driving attendance, fan engagement, and storytelling while coordinating with coaches and creative teams to align brand and campaigns.

  • Growth focus: plan game-day and digital campaigns to lift attendance and build fan databases.
  • Content ownership: collaborate on storytelling featuring student-athletes and program milestones across social, web, and video.
  • Analytics discipline: use audience insights to steer strategy and measure impact across channels.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary marketing lead for assigned sports programs and secondary support for additional teams.
  • Develop and execute sport-specific marketing plans focused on: Attendance growth
  • Fan engagement
  • Brand awareness
  • Revenue support initiatives
  • Plan and execute game-day marketing initiatives, promotions, and fan engagement activities.
  • Coordinate in-game entertainment, promotions, and student engagement efforts.
  • Assist with departmental initiatives including Kids Club, group experiences, and community engagement programs.
  • Assist with digital marketing initiatives across social media, web, email, and paid marketing platforms.
  • Coordinate promotional email campaigns supporting attendance, fan engagement, and departmental initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism.
  • Minimum one year of experience in Sports Communications or Sports Marketing required; two or more years preferred.
  • CPR/first aid certification required within six weeks of employment
  • California driver’s license required.

Preferred

  • Understanding of NCAA rules and regulations strongly preferred.
  • Working proficiency with SIDEARM Sports, StatCrew, NCAA Genius/NCAA Manager, StatBroadcast, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign strongly preferred.
  • Experience with still photography preferred.
