Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Art Director with strong conceptual and design skills and a background in healthcare marketing. This role serves as a key design partner across Managed Markets and Patient Support workstreams, supporting Creative Directors and senior creative leads in bringing complex strategies to life through clear, thoughtful, and high-quality execution. All materials must align with client direction, internal strategy, brand guidelines, and industry standards.

They bring a proactive, solutions-oriented approach, and are comfortable working within established creative direction while adding value through strong design thinking and attention to detail.

This role is focused on supporting brand teams and creative leads across a range of deliverables. The Art Director will be responsible for executing against established direction, contributing to concept development when appropriate, and ensuring all work is delivered with accuracy, consistency, and a high level of craft.

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines. They are confident taking work from concept through execution, ensuring alignment at every stage and incorporating feedback efficiently.

This person collaborates effectively within a cross-functional team, contributing to a culture of accountability, responsiveness, and shared success. They can clearly communicate their design decisions and are comfortable presenting work internally and, when appropriate, to clients.

Please Note:

  • Must submit samples of work in order to be considered for an interview.
  • Prior pharmaceutical/healthcare agency experience is required (Market Access experience is a plus)

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute design across assigned deliverables, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines, strategy, and creative direction
  • Support Creative Directors and senior creative leads in concept development and execution of larger initiatives
  • Translate complex clinical, access, and strategic information into clear, engaging visual solutions
  • Produce a range of materials including presentations, digital assets, print collateral, and patient support materials
  • Maintain strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and completeness across all work
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines, partnering closely with Project Management to meet deadlines
  • Incorporate feedback quickly and accurately, minimizing revision cycles and maintaining efficiency
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Account, Strategy, Copy, and Production teams to ensure cohesive execution
  • Present work internally and support client presentations as needed
  • Stay current on design trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve execution and efficiency

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • 4+ years of experience in a creative design role (minimum 2 years in an agency environment).
  • Prior pharmaceutical/healthcare agency experience required; Market Access experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrates experience designing data-heavy materials.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing data visualization, infographic design, and strategic visual storytelling.
  • Ability to design across print, digital, and presentation platforms.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and PowerPoint; experience with Figma, After Effects, Articulate Storyline, or similar tools is a plus.
  • Experience supporting healthcare brand launches preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree/or equivalent work experience required
