Role Description

This is a full-time, remote position for an AI Film Director (even better if based in South Florida). The AI Film Director will oversee all aspects of AI-driven film production, including prompt engineering for scripts and visuals, pre-production planning, creative direction of AI-generated content, and managing post-production workflows. Responsibilities include collaborating with creative teams, ensuring visual storytelling aligns with project objectives, and leveraging the latest AI tools to produce high-quality film content at a high cadence that drives engagement and virality across social media platforms. The role requires ongoing creative problem-solving, rapid trend responsiveness, and innovation within the fast-moving landscape of generative AI and media.

Compensation

Base salary of $70,000/year with performance bonuses tied to viewership and engagement metrics. On-target earnings of $120,000+ annually for strong performers.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in AI video generation tools such as Higgsfield, Pika, Kling, Runway or similar platforms, with the ability to direct and iterate on AI-generated footage to achieve a cohesive creative vision.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering and storytelling, with the ability to craft detailed prompts that translate narrative concepts into compelling AI-generated visuals and sequences.
• Hands-on experience planning and organizing AI-driven production workflows, including shot planning, scene consistency, style references, and asset management across multiple AI tools.
• Knowledge of post-production techniques including AI-assisted editing, upscaling, frame interpolation, compositing, color grading, and sound design using tools like DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or AI-native editors.
• Competency in motion design, VFX compositing, or manual polish workflows (After Effects, CapCut, etc.) to clean up AI artifacts, stitch clips, add text overlays, and create polished final deliverables.
• Deep familiarity with the evolving generative AI ecosystem — image generators (Midjourney, DALL·E, Flux), voice/music AI, motion capture tools, and emerging multimodal models.
• Proven track record of creating viral AI-generated content on social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X, etc.). Must be able to provide examples of AI-produced content that achieved significant reach and engagement.
• Strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and audience behavior, with the ability to craft AI content specifically optimized for virality and shareability.
• Ability to produce content at a high volume and fast turnaround. This role demands someone who can ship multiple pieces of content per week, not just one polished project per month.
• Chronically online trend awareness — you spot emerging meme formats, audio trends, and new AI capabilities early and can pivot creative direction within hours, not days.
• An analytics-driven mindset with comfort reading performance data across platforms and iterating on content strategy based on what's actually working.
• Strong understanding of brand safety, AI ethics, and intellectual property considerations — including awareness of deepfake risks, likeness rights, and copyrighted style mimicry when producing content on behalf of brands.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams remotely and translate client or brand objectives into AI-produced content that performs on social platforms.
• A strong portfolio or reel showcasing AI-generated or AI-assisted film/video work is required, with emphasis on social media content that gained traction.
• Previous experience in film, video production, or AI-enhanced creative projects is a plus. A background in Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field is welcome but not required — demonstrated results with AI tools and viral content matter most.
