WHAT THE TEAM IS SEEKING: Our Advertising team is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Business Development Associate to support business development efforts within the media agency channel. This role is heavily focused on lead generation, outbound outreach, relationship building, and meeting facilitation, with exposure to proposal support and agency-facing sales activity. This position plays a critical role in expanding Inspire’s agency footprint and fueling new advertising revenue. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: Reporting directly to the SVP, Strategic Business Development, the Business Development Associate will support Inspire’s advertising growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying new opportunities within media agencies. You will focus on consistent outreach, meeting generation, and relationship cultivation, while assisting with proposals and select client-facing activities, including client entertainment. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: The following responsibilities are considered essential functions of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties. Drive outbound prospecting and lead generation within media agencies through email, LinkedIn, events, and other outreach channels. Schedule and coordinate introductory and follow-up meetings with qualified agency contacts. Build and maintain a pipeline of agency relationships aligned to Inspire’s advertising offerings. Support senior sales and marketing leadership with proposal development, materials coordination, and pre-meeting preparation as needed. Participate in client entertainment and agency relationship-building activities, representing Inspire professionally and consistently. Track outreach activity, meetings scheduled, and lead status in CRM systems or reporting tools. Collaborate closely with Sales leadership to align outreach efforts with current campaigns, priorities, and messaging. Stay informed on Inspire’s advertising products, audience capabilities, and differentiators to effectively communicate value to agency partners. Develop and nurture relationships with key agency media planners, day-to-day agency client leads and maintain ongoing communication (entertainment, creative and strategic solutions, problem solving, etc.). Cultivate and maintain strong, long-lasting agency relationships with assigned agency accounts, acting as the main point of contact and understanding their unique business needs. Act as a liaison for sales requests internally (inventory availability, pricing, data, community insights, etc.). WHAT WE NEED: A proactive, organized, and relationship-oriented team member who is eager to grow within sales and marketing while contributing directly to new business generation. Education – Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred. Experience – 1–3 years of experience in sales, business development, media, advertising, or a related client-facing role. Internship or entry-level sales experience considered. Pharmaceutical experience preferred. Business Skills – Strong interest in lead generation, outbound outreach, and relationship development within a B2B environment. Communication – Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with agency partners. Organization – Ability to manage multiple outreach efforts, meetings, and follow-ups simultaneously while maintaining accurate records. Ownership – Comfortable being accountable to activity-based KPIs and new business outcomes. Adaptability – Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing to learn, iterate, and grow with the business.
