Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing communications programs in the full range of Crisis & Special Situations events – M&A Communications; activist defense campaigns and proxy contests; executive transition support; short attack defense; data breach communications; and the full range of corporate and other crises, including helping develop crisis preparedness plans.
  • Developing stakeholder communications plans and drafting the full range of content required for such situations
  • Contributing to positioning and messaging strategy
  • Supporting client counsel
  • Media relations
  • Developing new business proposals and participating in new business meetings
  • Overseeing more junior team members in their activities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years specific experience in crisis & special situations activities
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Media relations experience
  • Sufficient knowledge and familiarity with capital markets, governance and public/private investor issues and ecosystem
  • Demonstrated confidence in the ability to provide counsel to senior executives
  • Ability to manage and lead junior team members
  • Ability and comfort working in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment that invariably also involves work at non-traditional hours.
