Job Summary

Translate complex financial topics into clear, compelling narratives while owning client communications strategies, media relations, and integrated campaigns for financial services clients.

  • Lead tailored client communications plans, ensuring timely and high‑quality messaging across channels.
  • Develop and maintain media engagement and thought leadership, crafting op-eds, speeches, and materials for key journalists and influencers.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to mentor junior staff, support business development, and drive cohesive, strategy‑driven campaigns.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead client communications strategy and ensure tailored messaging and engagement aligned with objectives.
  • Serve as a client contact, ensuring consistent, high‑quality communication.
  • Manage creation and execution of communications plans and strategies, aligning with client objectives.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ businesses, stakeholders, and industry landscapes to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Partner with senior leadership to identify and mitigate challenges, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Develop media engagement strategies and maintain relationships with key financial journalists, producers, and influencers.
  • Craft compelling thought leadership content, including op-eds, speeches, and media materials.
  • Provide proactive and reactive media counsel to ensure message alignment and positioning.
  • Translate complex financial and regulatory topics into clear narratives for media, investors, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to multiple projects from inception to completion with timeliness, quality, and budget discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in political science, business, journalism, public policy, communications, or related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in corporate communications, financial services, PR, or public affairs, preferably in an agency or political/government setting

Preferred

  • Experience in financial communications with understanding of financial institutions, hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, and alt assets.
  • Experience supporting communications for crypto, digital asset, or blockchain companies, including regulatory and market considerations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the crypto ecosystem and how digital assets intersect with payments, fintech, and traditional finance.
  • Strong media relations with established journalist relationships and ability to secure high-impact coverage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to develop strategic messaging and thought leadership.
