Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategic communications + public affairs execution: integrated work across corporate positioning, public affairs, crisis/issues, reputation, and change communications.
  • Draft and refine client-ready materials: create messaging frameworks, talking points, statements, Q&A, briefing memos, and stakeholder communications.
  • Media and narrative support: build media lists, execute targeted outreach, monitor coverage, and help shape storylines that strengthen credibility.
  • Stakeholder and policy tracking: monitor developments at the intersection of business, regulation, and risk, and translate them into implications and recommended actions.
  • Research, data, and intelligence: turn rigorous research into practical strategies—separating the signal from the noise and elevating what matters most for decision-making.
  • Project management and quality control: run workplans, deadlines, and deliverable review to keep output accurate, polished, and on time.
  • Business development support (as needed): research, background briefs, and contributions to proposals for new opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience: in strategic communications and/or public affairs (agency, corporate/in-house, government, association, advocacy, or a mix).
  • Excellent writing and editing: with the ability to produce clean drafts quickly and elevate executive-level language.
  • Judgment under pressure: with comfort operating in high-visibility and fast-moving environments.
  • Strong instincts for positioning and narrative: grounded in audience, context and risk.
  • Structured execution skills: with an organized, deadline-driven, and dependable mindset across multiple workstreams.
  • Client-ready presence: as a clear communicator; calm, discreet, and solutions-oriented.

Preferred

  • Undergraduate degree in communications, political science or similar.
  • Experience supporting executive visibility, media training, or crisis/issues response.
  • Comfort with modern communication tools (AI, media databases, monitoring, etc.)
  • Familiarity with high-scrutiny sectors (e.g., energy, financial services, telecom/tech, transportation, pharma, aerospace/defense, higher ed/nonprofit).
