Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Play a critical role in executing integrated media relations, executive communications, and complex technical and digital storytelling programs for innovative companies like Waabi, Prelude Ventures and OnRunning
  • Active participation on four accounts, responsible for developing new and existing storytelling opportunities for clients
  • Develop subject matter expertise for complex topics and quickly learn about new technology products and services
  • Build new relationships with key media contacts and find proactive media opportunities for clients
  • Develop and write key pieces of thought leadership content for executives
  • Be well-versed in core PR & communications work, independently drive work forward, and balance competing priorities across client teams
  • Develop understanding of the digital landscape, including social media strategies and influencer marketing campaigns to amplify brand narratives
  • Produce consistent, high-quality results and share knowledge with new teammates to guide day-to-day work

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience at a communications agency or start-up technology company, with a focus on PR, social media, or digital marketing
  • Skilled writer, with experience across multiple formats (including bylines, pitches, social) and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives
  • Media relations experience, including a track record of impactful placements and proactive storytelling
  • Capable project manager with a knack for staying organized and working across multiple projects and competing timelines
  • Passion for consuming the news and following media trends, with an interest in innovation and technology
  • Consistent and reliable team collaborator, skilled in managing and communicating information effectively
  • Direct, inclusive interpersonal communication skills
  • Track-record of reliable, high-quality work in fast-paced environments
  • Diverse work samples that exemplify execution of integrated communications goals, including placements, social campaigns, and thought leadership, encouraged
