Job Description

The Account Executive, US College Sales, sells the company’s leading learning resources (print and digital) to Higher Education faculty in the Memphis area.
Essential Functions
  • Grow market share and establish new products in all subject areas guided by a strategic territory selling plan
  • Conduct effective sales calls to grow new revenue via well-planned campus travel and other communications
  • Develop deep product knowledge through learning programs to be able to persuasively articulate value proposition of products in a competitive landscape.
  • Demonstrate company technology and employing sales enablement tools in sales calls
  • Ensure data within the CRM system is accurate by maintaining and updating the sales pipeline; strategically work sales opportunities in CRM to prioritize pipeline and optimize revenue
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required with evidence of high academic achievement
  • Demonstrated record of success in academic and professional background
  • 2 to 4+ years sales experience required
  • Field-based sales experience strongly preferred and sales experience in the publishing industry or related SAAS/technology industries is a plus
  • Hunter mentality, self-reliant and success oriented
  • Strong technology demonstration skills
  • Ability to travel daily, with full day and overnight travel during active selling times. Role requires 35% travel in prime selling season
Salary: $70k-$75k annual base salary range + sales incentive + benefits
