Responsibilities

• As an Account Director, you will serve as a senior media relations lead and trusted advisor across integrated client teams.
• You will shape communications strategies, develop earned-first approaches and lead media programs that drive results for consumer brands.
• You’ll bring a strong understanding of the consumer media landscape and the ability to identify news cycles, cultural moments and emerging trends that create opportunities for clients.
• You’ll also play an important role in developing and mentoring team members, managing significant workstreams, connecting teams across disciplines and contributing to the growth of Current Global’s consumer media relations business.

• Your Skills
• - Trusted Advisor: Provide proactive and reactive strategic media counsel to key clients and serve as a senior day-to-day media contact.
• - Development and Execution of Earned Media Strategies: Develop and lead earned-first media strategies from concept through execution, while connecting with integrated teams to develop cohesive approaches to our work.
• - Craft Compelling Stories: Develop narratives, pitches and ideas designed to earn positive client headlines and meaningful coverage.
• - Build and Maintain Relationships: Forge and maintain strong, authentic connections with key media contacts and leverage those relationships on behalf of clients.

Requirements

• - At least 7 years of public relations and communications experience, with a strong focus on consumer communications and earned media; agency experience preferred
• - Proven experience developing and executing integrated, earned-first media campaigns
• - Strong understanding of consumer media, cultural trends and the broader media ecosystem
• - Experience working across earned, social, influencer and other integrated communications channels
• - BA or BS in Communications or a related field
