POSITION OVERVIEW
About the Position
As a 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning in students during a key stage of their development. You will design dynamic lessons, build strong relationships, and create a supportive classroom environment where every student can thrive.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Teacher certification preferred
- Experience teaching elementary grades
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Excellent communication and technology skills
Other Requirements
- Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid IVP fingerprint clearance card by the time of hire.
ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS
- Develop and deliver engaging, standards-based lesson plans
- Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Assess student progress and tailor instruction to meet diverse needs
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and school culture
- Participate in school events and activities
- Complete additional duties in collaboration with the team to deliver an exceptional student experience
- Maintains accurate, complete, legible and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
- Takes necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
