Job Summary

Own and optimize the Rotten Tomatoes app experience with clear KPI ownership, lead the experimentation roadmap, and translate audience data into growth actions across product, AI, and editorial workflows.

  • Growth & product ownership: Align app roadmap with platform KPIs and drive dashboards and governance with Product.
  • AI strategy and features: Build discovery, personalization, and content tooling, then evolve AI-powered features to lift engagement and retention.
  • Editorial governance and monetization: Maintain trust and brand integrity while driving audience growth and monetization experiments.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the business owner of the Rotten Tomatoes App experience.
  • Own App KPI targets including MAU, engagement, retention, and web-to-app migration.
  • Lead experimentation roadmap to improve session depth, repeat visitation, and feature adoption.
  • Translate audience analytics into actionable growth strategy tied to measurable business outcomes.
  • Partner with Product to prioritize consumer-facing roadmap initiatives aligned to platform KPIs.
  • Establish clear performance dashboards and operating rhythms across web and app.
  • Develop and lead Rotten Tomatoes’ AI strategy across consumer discovery, personalization, content operations, and internal workflows.
  • Partner with Product and Data teams to evolve AI-powered features (including recommendation engines and aRTi) to improve engagement, retention, and user satisfaction.
  • Identify responsible applications of generative AI to enhance editorial efficiency, content packaging, audience insights, and monetization experimentation.
  • Establish governance frameworks to ensure AI initiatives align with brand trust, neutrality, transparency, and reputational standards.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of digital media, platform, consumer product, or GM-level leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated revenue accountability and P&L or forecasting ownership.
  • Proven track record driving measurable app growth and retention.
  • Experience scaling a brand within a high-visibility, reputation-sensitive environment.
  • Strong operator mindset with ability to build process, dashboards, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience leading AI-enabled product initiatives, recommendation systems, or generative content workflows within a high-trust brand environment.
  • Editorial fluency with deep respect for trust, neutrality, and brand integrity.
  • Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
