Job Summary

Own the social voice and growth engine for FIGCM across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X by planning calendars, creating warm faith‑aligned content, and driving engagement with a focused community.

  • Platform ownership: schedule and publish content across key channels and stay ahead of algorithm changes.
  • Content & branding: craft posts, captions, and visuals in line with branding and faith-based messaging; collaborate with design.
  • Engagement & reporting: grow followers, monitor engagement, respond to comments, and report metrics to guide strategy.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Manage and schedule content across all FIGCM social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other applicable platforms.
  • Develop and execute monthly content calendars in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications Manager.
  • Create engaging posts, captions, and basic visuals aligned with FIGCM's branding and faith-centered voice.
  • Collaborate with the Graphic Designer to ensure visually consistent and mission-aligned content.
  • Monitor engagement across platforms and respond to comments and messages professionally and promptly.
  • Share impact stories, program updates, and faith-based encouragement to inspire and inform the FIGCM community.
  • Actively work to grow FIGCM's follower base and increase engagement across platforms.
  • Use social media scheduling tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite to plan and publish content.
  • Stay current with platform algorithm changes, trends, and best practices and apply relevant updates to FIGCM's strategy.
  • Track key performance metrics and provide periodic reports to the Marketing & Communications Manager.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts, whether personal, nonprofit, or professional.
  • Strong written communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to write in a warm, faith-sensitive, and mission-aligned tone.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter).
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite.
  • Basic graphic design skills or experience using Canva or similar tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong alignment with FIGCM's mission, values, and faith-based approach to service.
  • Cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the communities FIGCM serves.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Prior experience managing social media for a nonprofit, charity, or faith-based organization is preferred.
  • Demonstrated portfolio of social media content or campaigns is a plus.
