Job Description

Coordinate a volunteer-driven outreach plan that standardizes channels, timing, and messaging to reach funders, volunteers, and clients while aligning with current tools and staff capacity.

  • Create a checklist to guide your organization through the who, what, when, and how of sharing program updates, internal shifts, or responses to current events
  • This checklist should pull in all the various channels that our nonprofit should use to reach clients, volunteers, or funders so we have a standardized plan for outreach
  • The communications plan should take into account our current marketing tools and staff capacity
  • We currently have an intern that is available to support social media posts using the guidance from the plan
  • This project should take from 24-48 hours to complete
  • We're hopeful that our volunteer partner will share 2-5 hours of their time per week
  • This project will support our mission by providing a framework for reaching funders, stakeholders, and creating awareness for the organization
  • The volunteer's support will help build the capacity we need to advance our mission
  • To prepare for the creation of this communications plan, we have started creating marketing materials such as donor profiles, 1-pagers, launching a web page and branding social media
  • We will implement the results of this project using volunteers
