Job Summary

Own the brand demand engine for a literary magazine by building a connected funnel across website, email, social, and partnerships. Lead hands-on execution with freelancers and collaborators and turn data into rapid, actionable optimizations.

  • Growth Infrastructure: Align website, email, social, and paid channels to drive enrollment and engagement.
  • Channel Execution: Manage partnerships, collaborations, and potentially ad sales to grow reach and funnel velocity.
  • Measurement & Optimization: Track performance, translate insights into concrete next steps, and iterate plans with speed.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Build a subscriber funnel and online presence by aligning the following elements:
  • Website
  • Email program
  • Social media strategies and messaging
  • Paid ads
  • Collaborations and partnerships
  • Potentially ad sales
  • Onboard, coordinate and work with freelancers and other contributors
  • Measure and report on performance drawing clear insights and translating into actionable next steps in support of the above efforts

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in brand marketing, creative direction, or social strategy at a consumer or lifestyle brand, ideally with a mix of in-house and agency experience
  • Experience building an enrollment funnel for a content/media/consumer brand
  • Interest in and knowledge of the indie literary and magazine businesses
  • You push boundaries and take creative risks with your ideas
  • You are scrappy, hands-on, and hard working
  • Ability to perform analysis, draw clear actionable insights, and communicate them effectively
  • You are excited about working in the office 5 days a week
