Job Summary

Coordinate Stromberg Complex outreach and events by crafting and posting program ads, managing on-site messaging, and producing engaging social content in partnership with campus stakeholders, while guiding hourly staff to uphold safety and operations.

  • Content & Communications: Create and post program ads and announcements across channels.
  • Engagement & Events: Build social content with Athletics and Campus Recreation, and tabling at major events like Block Party.
  • Team & Ops: Lead and mentor staff, model safe practices, and coordinate office time with occasional travel to Davis Campus for events.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Creating and posting advertising for programs, events, and general building announcements
  • Managing posting on bulletin boards in the Stromberg Complex
  • Creating engaging social media posts, including collaborating with building stakeholders such as Athletics and Campus Recreation
  • Assisting with tabling at events such as Block Party
  • May require travel to Davis Campus for event tabling
  • Acts as a leader and mentor for staff and should be a role model for safe practices for all Stromberg Complex hourly staff
  • Minimum of 5 hours of office work per week (can be supplemented with other shifts)
  • Reports to the Stromberg Complex Facility Manager

Requirements

  • Must be a current Weber State student.
  • Experience creating print and digital marketing materials or experience with managing a social media account.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
