Job Summary

Own the external comms narrative for a blood cancer portfolio, coordinating cross-functional strategy from pre to post approval and guiding risk responses for a global audience.

  • Global Communications Ownership: Build and run the portfolio's messaging and risk response across US and international teams.
  • Strategic Media & Stakeholder Management: Lead media relations, congress support, and regulatory milestones with agency partners.
  • Science to Narrative: Translate complex data into clear external stories for diverse audiences and counsel across Commercial, Legal, Clinical, and Regulatory.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead U.S. and Global communications for our blood cancer portfolio and pipeline
  • Partner with Commercial, Clinical, Legal, and Regulatory teams as a trusted strategist and media coach
  • Manage media relations, congress support, regulatory milestones, and stakeholder engagement
  • Translate complex science into compelling narratives for diverse external audiences
  • Identify and assess communications risks, recommending response strategies
  • Collaborate with in-country Corporate Affairs teams to extend global strategies locally
  • Oversee agency partners, resources, and budget to deliver cohesive outcomes
  • Build consensus and foster trusted relationships across functions and levels

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 8–10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in product or pipeline communications (in-house or agency)
  • Strong writing, editing, and content design skills with ability to translate complex clinical data for external audiences
  • Knowledge of the regulatory, commercial, and legal landscape governing pre-approval and post-approval pharmaceutical communications
  • Proven experience with social media and digital communications strategies
  • Experience managing agency partners and vendor workstreams
  • Background in biotechnology or pharmaceutical communications in oncology (preferred)
