Job Summary

Own the content engine for a ground-up wildlife brand, driving long-form docs, daily short-form videos, and behind-the-scenes storytelling across YouTube and social.

Lead on video concepting, storytelling, thumbnails, and titles to grow Uncle Tony's Reptiles across platforms.
Direct a small editing team, assigning projects, reviewing edits, and ensuring on-schedule, high-quality output.
Travel for expeditions and film across channels to build audience and drive channel growth.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Document the construction and development of Uncle Tony's Reptile Zoo from day one.
Travel for wildlife expeditions and special filming opportunities.
Produce high-quality long-form YouTube videos.
Create engaging short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts.
Film, edit, and publish behind-the-scenes content, educational videos, animal encounters, and expedition footage.
Collaborate on video ideas, storytelling, thumbnails, titles, and overall content strategy.
Manage and direct a team of editing interns, assigning projects, reviewing edits, and ensuring content meets quality standards and deadlines.
Help grow the Uncle Tony's Reptiles brand across all social media platforms.

Requirements

Experience filming and editing YouTube and short-form content.
Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and audience retention.
Leadership skills and the ability to manage and mentor a small team of editing interns.
Comfortable working around reptiles and other live animals.
Creative, self-motivated, and dependable.
Open to occasional travel for wildlife expeditions. Potential destinations include the Peruvian Amazon, Indonesia, and Australia.
Someone who wants to build something long-term—not just complete assignments.
