Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with MFA team members to develop a social media plan for the Creative Writing dept.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with MFA community through social media by monitoring their publications and accomplishments, as well as other activities, and promoting those activities on various mediums
  • Generate new content daily that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to engage
  • Announce MFA-related activities, information, and announcements on social media when necessary
  • Collaborate with Antioch Marketing, other MFA team members including the Newsletter Editor to generate content
  • Create other innovative and new marketing and social media ideas to generate interest in Antioch’s MFA program and our community

Requirements

  • Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a digital media specialist
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience
  • Willingness and ability to learn new platforms and tools (we use Canva to create social media graphics, Buffer to schedule posts, and social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, etc.)

Preferred

  • Engagement and professional interest in literary community will be helpful.
