Job Summary

Own engagement and storytelling for SFCA through social content, visuals, and campaigns that drive donor interest and community involvement.

  • Content Lifecycle: Create and schedule multi-platform posts, graphics, and short videos aligned to SFCA messaging.
  • Community Narrative: Capture impact stories and coordinate messaging with leadership for consistency.
  • Performance & Strategy: Track metrics, report monthly, and surface trend-based growth ideas to boost donor engagement.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create and schedule engaging content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Develop graphics, short videos, and promotional materials that align with SFCA’s mission and brand.
  • Assist in promoting fundraising events, volunteer opportunities, and community initiatives.
  • Monitor social media accounts and respond to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner.
  • Track engagement metrics and provide monthly performance reports.
  • Research trends and recommend strategies to increase audience growth and donor engagement.
  • Capture and share impact stories that highlight SFCA’s work in the community.
  • Collaborate with leadership to ensure consistent messaging across all communications.

Requirements

  • Current college student majoring in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, and display creativity.
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and content management tools.
  • Basic graphic design experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar programs.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Passion for community service and nonprofit work.

Preferred

  • Experience creating short-form video content.
  • Photography or videography skills.
  • Knowledge of social media analytics and digital marketing strategies.
  • Previous volunteer or nonprofit experience.
