Job Summary

Own social strategy and storytelling for a regulated-healthcare audience, driving goals, competitive differentiation, and leadership-aligned metrics across strategy, content publishing, and engagement.

  • Social Strategy: Own the platform mix, trend spotting, and goal setting to differentiate GeneDx and guide leadership on social investments.
  • Content & Publishing: Own the organic social calendar, messaging in partnership with Creative, and testing content to lift reach and brand recognition.
  • Storytelling & Community: Own social storytelling opportunities, cross-functional storytelling, and active listening to surface patient/provider stories and manage risk signals.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Social strategy and competitive analysis – 20%: Support the GeneDx social media strategy to meet company short- and long-term goals, including determining how to best use resources and how to stand apart from competitors.
  • Social strategy and competitive analysis – 20%: Set and report on monthly and quarterly social media goals aligned to the company’s social media strategy, while improving internal processes to increase efficiency.
  • Social strategy and competitive analysis – 20%: Identify and share platform and industry trends, providing recommendations and guidance to others on the marketing and leadership team.
  • Social strategy and competitive analysis – 20%: Monitor competitor activity and emerging healthcare, biotech, and social media trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and innovation.
  • Social media content creation, publishing and calendar management – 50%: Conceptualize and write effective organic social posts that grab attention, engage platform users, and improve brand recognition, while ensuring alignment with existing corporate and client-facing messaging.
  • Social media content creation, publishing and calendar management – 50%: Design, develop, implement, and manage the organic social publishing calendar, ensuring we publish the right content at the right time.
  • Social media content creation, publishing and calendar management – 50%: Coordinate publishing timelines across campaigns, launches, awareness moments, and corporate initiatives.
  • Social media content creation, publishing and calendar management – 50%: In partnership with Creative team, lead on messaging and develop social media creative that aligns with organizational objectives, using tools to organize and track activities.
  • Social media content creation, publishing and calendar management – 50%: Test, measure, and improve the effectiveness of social content, recommending creative iterations to optimize performance and help achieve business goals.
  • Social media content creation, publishing and calendar management – 50%: Develop, implement, manage, and replenish our social content library, identifying message gaps and exploring new and dynamic formats and visuals (e.g., polls, infographics, videos, carousels).
  • Social media content creation, publishing and calendar management – 50%: Manage and grow the GeneDx LinkedIn newsletter strategy, including editorial planning, content development, publishing, and performance tracking.
