Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Foundation’s official social channels (including X, LinkedIn, forum announcements, and successor platforms) in coordination with community channels.
• Monitor social discourse for materially relevant community feedback and route insights into internal feedback loops.
• Manage and moderate all primary community channels (including Telegram, and successor platforms).
• Publish clear, factual updates aligned with Foundation positions, governance timelines, and ecosystem developments.
• Ensure consistency of messaging across social and community surfaces, with appropriate tailoring by channel.
• Maintain disciplined tone and boundaries, avoiding promotional, speculative, or outcome-advocating communications.
• Engage with the Compound community, fostering a constructive, informed, and welcoming community culture focused on signal over noise.
• Grow the Compound community with informative posts aligned with our narrative themes, partnership announcements, and content that responsibly capitalizes on social media trends.
• Support community understanding of governance mechanics, timelines, and participation pathways without advocating outcomes, working closely with the Compound Governance Working Group.
• Act as first-line support for community questions, routing technical or governance matters to appropriate stakeholders.

Requirements

• Prior experience running X and LinkedIn accounts for a company or foundation (bonus points if they’re in the crypto space)
• Strong understanding of DeFi and onchain governance dynamics.
• Clear, precise written communication and sound judgment in public forums.
• Ability to encourage sustained, high-quality participation rather than short-term engagement spikes.
• Comfortable operating across time zones and during periods of heightened governance activity.
• Reports to Foundation leadership or a designated operations / governance lead.
• Full-time role or long-term contractor, with consistent presence during core community activity windows.
• Bonus: Experience with partnerships, content strategy, events, growth and/or product marketing.
• Bonus: Prior experience managing communities for a blockchain protocol, DAO, or open-source ecosystem.
