Job Summary

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create and curate visually appealing content in the form of posts, carousels, and reels.
  • Schedule engaging content for various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
  • Monitor social media channels and respond to comments and messages in a timely manner.
  • Conduct research on current trends and best practices in social media and education.
  • Help organize and promote school events and initiatives through social media.
  • Analyze social media metrics and report on performance to guide future content strategies.
  • Collaborate with network and school based staff to highlight student achievements and school programs.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions for new campaign ideas.

Requirements

  • Current college student pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field; Or recent graduate seeking an entry-level position
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and their respective audiences
  • Creative mindset with an eye for design (basic graphic design skills are a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Enthusiasm for engaging with the school community and promoting positive narratives.
  • Exceptional reliability, integrity, and ability to responsibly handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems by using sound, professional judgment that is consistent with policies, procedures, regulations, or federal and state laws
  • Ability to listen, influence, and execute through others while coordinating across a broad and diverse group of stakeholders
  • Belief in and commitment to the mission and core values of AppleTree Early Learning Public Charter School

Preferred

  • basic graphic design skills are a plus
