Job Summary

Own social content creation and events support for local communities, turning events into social content and partnerships while tracking engagement and enabling campaigns.

Capture photos/videos, post scheduling, trend spotting, and basic performance reporting.
Events and partnerships: registrations, sponsorships, vendor comms, and post-event summaries.
Content strategy support and calendar maintenance in collaboration with the multimedia team.

Job Description

Capture photos and videos for social media content
Create and schedule social media posts
Monitor social media trends and identify content opportunities
Assist with short-form video creation (Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn)
Track engagement metrics and prepare basic performance reports
Assist with social media campaigns and promotions
Collaborate with Multimedia Specialist on content strategy
Research and identify relevant community events, resource fairs, veteran events, and networking opportunities
Coordinate event registrations and sponsorship opportunities
Communicate with event organizers and vendors

1+ year experience in social media, marketing, events, communications, or related field
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Comfortable attending community events
Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube
Experience using Canva
Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
Reliable transportation for local events

Event planning experience
Social media content creation experience
Photography or video experience
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite
Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related education
