Job Summary

JOC is seeking a Part-Time Social Media & Content Manager to develop on-brand content across multiple platforms, manage a student team, and build content calendars. The role requires strong writing, platform knowledge, and passion for Jewish advocacy, with preferred experience in design. Responsibilities include trend monitoring, campaign planning, and analytics tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Develop engaging, on-brand content for JOC’s social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads, and LinkedIn).
  • Work with the COO to execute content design across social media platforms.
  • Create weekly and monthly social media content calendars, scheduling posts and campaigns.
  • Oversee team of student content creators, ensuring creative aligns with organizational strategy and advocacy goals.
  • Stay current on social trends, especially those relevant to Jewish identity, antisemitism, activism, and Gen Z.
  • Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns tied to events, news, and organizational milestones.
  • Track analytics and growth metrics across JOC’s social media platforms.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Passion for the JOC mission, particularly as it relates to Jewish advocacy, education, and social media.
  • Deep understanding of antisemitism and campus culture.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with a small, fast-paced team.
  • Working knowledge of Google Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Preferred

  • Experience growing or managing social media channels (preferred).
  • Experience in Photoshop and/or graphic design (preferred).
