Job Summary

Own the local social content and community-building engine for a fitness studio, translating class moments into engaging posts, events, and member stories while leaning into grassroots partnerships and brand-building campaigns.

  • Content and Community Ownership: Create and calendar social content, capture events, and highlight member milestones to grow the local audience.
  • Community Outreach: Attend events, run grassroots campaigns, and build relationships with local businesses and organizations.
  • Member Engagement: Foster online conversations, drive participation in studio campaigns, and nurture a welcoming community culture.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Create Engaging Social Media Content: Capture photos and videos during classes and studio events; Create engaging Instagram Reels, Stories, Facebook posts, and other social media content; Showcase member success stories, milestones, coach spotlights, and studio culture; Edit short-form videos using mobile editing applications; Maintain a consistent content calendar aligned with studio goals and promotions; Collaborate with studio leadership on monthly marketing campaigns.
  • Grow Our Community: Attend and support local community events; Help coordinate grassroots marketing campaigns; Assist with organizing member appreciation events, challenges, charity workouts, and grand opening activities; Build relationships with local businesses and community organizations; Capture content during community partnerships and special events.
  • Engage Our Members: Celebrate birthdays, milestones, personal records, anniversaries, and transformation stories; Respond to social media comments and messages professionally and promptly; Encourage member participation in studio events and social campaigns; Help create an online community that reflects the welcoming culture of our studio.
  • Support Marketing Initiatives: Assist with promotional campaigns and seasonal marketing initiatives; Create flyers, digital graphics, and promotional materials using Canva or similar design tools; Monitor social media trends and recommend creative content ideas; Track content performance and suggest improvements based on engagement.

Requirements

  • Passion for health, fitness, and community
  • Comfortable being behind the camera—and occasionally in front of it
  • Creative, organized, and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
  • Excited to help build a brand from the ground up

Preferred

  • Photography or videography experience is a plus
  • Marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, or social media experience preferred
  • Experience managing Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts
  • Experience creating short-form video content and Reels
  • Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar creative tools
