Job Summary

Own a lean, platform-native social content engine across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, shaping cadence, formats, and storytelling to accelerate engagement and performance.

  • Own channel architecture and TikTok relaunch with a differentiated, non-repurposed approach.
  • Collaborate in ideation, crafting storyboards, shot lists, and content architecture before shooting to ensure a strong creative baseline.
  • Push for new formats and behind-the-scenes content that highlight production craft without founder-centric focus.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own ASRV’s presence across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube — channel voice, cadence, format mix, and growth trajectory.
  • Lead the relaunch of ASRV’s TikTok channel with a differentiated strategy from Instagram, not a repurpose.
  • Bring platform-specific POV to every campaign: how should teaser assets roll out? Where does educational content live? What format is right for this story on this platform?
  • Stay ahead of trends — not to chase them, but to determine when and how ASRV should adopt, adapt, or ignore them.
  • Be in the room during campaign ideation. Contribute to storyboards, shot lists, and content architecture before a single frame is captured.
  • Identify the assets we are missing mid-shoot and ensure they get captured: the BTS moment, the behind-the-design sequence, the educational clip.
  • Push the team toward content formats we are not yet doing — gallery slideshows, text-over-video, short-form series, format experiments.
  • Develop BTS and “behind the design” content that spotlights ASRV’s production craft and technical edge without becoming founder-centric.
  • Shoot photo and video when the moment calls for it. You are comfortable behind a camera and do not need to be asked.
  • Edit short-form content natively — Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts — using CapCut, platform-native editors, Adobe Premiere, and your own judgment on pacing and hook.
  • Get content live. Handle scheduling, native posting, captions, and tagging with precision and brand consistency.
  • Track what is working. Bring performance context back into the creative room: this format drove engagement, this one did not, here is what we should try next.
  • Operate without heavy social management tooling. We run lean. Native posting and clear qualitative judgment are the standard.

Requirements

  • You have 3–6+ years of hands-on social content experience — not just managing accounts, but building content from concept to publish.
  • You have a strong reel of short-form work: Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts. You know what makes something stop-scroll versus scroll-past.
  • You are a capable shooter and editor. You do not need to be a cinematographer, but you can pick up a camera and get the shot.
  • You are proficient in photo/video editing platforms (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, among others)
  • You think in platforms. Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube are not the same thing to you, and you can articulate exactly why.
  • You have experience working inside a brand creative team — not just freelance execution, but collaborative ideation and campaign ownership.
  • You are organized, self-directing, and comfortable operating with high autonomy inside a lean team.
  • You understand performance apparel, fitness culture, or adjacent lifestyle categories at a genuine, not performative, level.

Preferred

  • Experience with Milanote or similar creative org tools.
  • Background in brand photography or campaign art direction.
  • Experience relaunching or significantly scaling a dormant social channel.

Benefits

  • The office in Vista is well-equipped, quiet, and designed for people who want to do good work without distraction.
  • Recreational amenities included.
  • Relocation support available for the right candidate.
