Job Summary

Own front line booth operations at the Minnesota State Fair by representing the station, handling sales, and delivering audience interactions across prep, event, and teardown windows.

  • Audience Engagement: Represent the station to listeners and the public, and support meet & greet and photo ops.
  • Operations & Merchandising: Run cash and card sales for t-shirts and merchandise; keep the booth clean and stocked.
  • Team & Logistics: Coordinate setup, teardown, and distribution of materials with staff and substitutes across the full two-week event.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Represent the station and engage with listeners, clients, and the public; assist with air staff meet & greet and photo ops.
  • Run cash register and process sales of t-shirts and merchandise; keep booth tidy and stocked.
  • Coordinate setup, teardown, and distribution of audience materials; work with staff and substitutes across prep, event, and post-event.
  • Set up and represent the station at the Minnesota State Fair
  • Operate a basic cash register and credit card machine to sell t-shirts and merchandise
  • Interact with clients, station personnel, the general public & listeners
  • Organize client materials and station items to be distributed to our audience
  • Assist as needed with air staff meet & greet and photo ops
  • Maintain a clean and orderly site to best represent our stations
  • Work the entire two weeks of the Minnesota State Fair (Aug 27 – Sep 7), plus 1 week before for setup and 1 week after for teardown
  • Work as a team with other promotional staff, on-air talent and substitutes at Hubbard radio station booths

Requirements

  • Must be enthusiastic, detail oriented, personable, outgoing, proactive, creative, organized, and have excellent time management skills
  • Must be available to work weekends, evenings and daytime hours during the Minnesota State Fair and preparation period leading up to the actual event dates
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Subject to pre-employment driving record background check; a conviction, violation pending adjudication, or adverse driving record more than 3 years old or not meeting major violation definition will not automatically disqualify a candidate

Preferred

  • Sports familiar with SKOR podcasts a plus, but not necessary.
