Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted media advisor to external clients and the internal account team
  • Analyze media options to allocate budgets effectively and confidently present and defend your plans
  • Understand demographic data and consumer profiles to identify target audiences, including lifestyles and psychographics
  • Manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines with excellent multitasking skills
  • Seek out new media opportunities that will further build awareness for our clients
  • Strategically negotiate, build and place buys for linear tv and radio using Strata; reconcile and post to evaluate performance.
  • Negotiate with media vendors to secure optimal rates, added value opportunities and favorable terms
  • Partner with media representatives to resolve discrepancies, including billing issues and performance concerns
  • Manage and optimize media plans, making in-flight adjustments as needed
  • Handle BO’s/IO’s, invoicing and billing through Strata and Workamajig

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in media buying and planning
  • Experience with Strata (or similar software) is a must
  • Experience with Workamajig is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Proven success in a full-service agency environment with a track record of building and implementing profitable, results-driven media plans
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, comfortable working with numbers
  • Extensive experience in media trend research
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong presentation delivery and development skills
  • Ability to remain optimistic in challenging situations
  • Ability to work remotely if/when necessary, with a dedicated workspace that ensures focus and productivity
