Job Summary

Own global Energy sector M&BD and strategy to coordinate cross-border campaigns, pitches, and high stakes RFP responses for a professional services firm.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead global strategy for the Energy sector to align with firm objectives and strengthen market position.
  • Act as the M&BD lead expert for the global Energy team and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Manage a global team, providing guidance, training, and professional development.
  • Lead pitch strategy for the Energy sector, aligning with the sales transformation plan and global pitch coordination.
  • Develop and manage responses to RFPs, pitches, and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Lead efforts to enhance the firm’s profile through targeted campaigns, thought leadership, events, and sponsorships.
  • Conceptualize and support client seminars, webinars, and other marketing events, managing materials, day-of logistics, and follow-up reporting.
  • Oversee directory submissions for relevant rankings and publications.
  • Foster relationships with industry associations, leveraging sponsorships to drive client engagement.
  • Evaluate, coordinate, and execute sponsorships and manage participation to maximize ROI.
  • Produce, manage and support seminars, receptions, and other marketing events including invitations, concept development, and vendor selection.
  • Collaborate with the PR team to implement profile-raising strategies for the sector and partners.
  • Ensure effective internal reporting and communication of M&BD activities with management reporting.
  • Leading a global team, providing guidance, training, and professional development (duplicate removed in rendering).
  • Support the portfolio of clients within the sector including monitoring client financial performance and internal reviews.
  • Conduct client feedback and support as client account manager for key clients.
  • Contribute to broader M&BD projects, share best practices, and participate in Global Citizenship programs.

Requirements

  • Eight to ten or more years of relevant experience, preferably in a legal or professional services industry.
  • Three or more years of people management experience preferred.
  • Established knowledge and experience of the energy industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; post-graduate qualifications (e.g., MBA) advantageous.
  • Excellent level of strategic and commercial awareness with a proactive mindset to spot and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Demonstrated people management capabilities and ability to motivate and coach teams.
  • Pragmatic, diplomatic, and resourceful with the ability to adapt quickly to different situations and personalities.
  • Strong communication, writing, and attention to detail in all work products.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Experience working independently and in cross-functional, collaborative environments.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.
