Job Summary

Own and scale marketing leadership for a national AEC firm, translating strategy into budgets, branding opportunities, and cross-office programs while representing the firm to clients and industry groups.

  • Own marketing strategy and deliverables, guiding multi-office programs and maintaining quality across campaigns.
  • Lead budgeting, staffing, RFQ/RFP coaching, and cross-functional initiatives with the national marketing leadership team.
  • Represent the firm to clients and industry groups, identify branding opportunities, and track events, awards, and recruiting efforts.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of all marketing deliverables setting strategic direction and contributing directly when needed
  • Hiring, managing and developing the marketing team and communicating corporate marketing strategies and goals
  • Lead or participate in annual initiatives on a cross-functional team
  • Assigning work to team members while maintaining quality of marketing activities and deliverables
  • Plan marketing strategies and goals for your offices
  • Member of national marketing leadership team influencing direction and goals of national marketing team
  • Participating in local annual business/sales planning and tracking project pipeline to ensure timely approvals
  • Representing firm to clients, business associates and industry-related organizations
  • Identifying new opportunities for promoting and branding the company
  • Tracking and overseeing annual trade shows, award submissions, major office meetings and college recruiting efforts
  • Managing local budget
  • Anticipating and proactively mitigating risks

Requirements

  • 10 to 12 years of prior marketing experience in the Architectural, Construction, Engineering (AEC) industry or similar capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related discipline
  • A CPSM certification or approved equivalent
  • 10 to 12 years of experience responding to RFQs, RFPs and developing/facilitating and coaching presentations
  • Proficiency using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office Suite
  • The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • A team-player mindset with the ability to work independently
  • Expertise in writing, proofreading and editing
  • Understanding of the AEC industry and marketing fundamentals
  • A willingness to learn and work above and beyond
  • A collaborative mindset
  • Experience and ability to productively manage difficult conversations, rally/motivate a team and persevere when facing setbacks
  • Determination and dependability
