Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead communications strategy across assigned healthcare accounts
  • Serve as a senior advisor to client stakeholders
  • Align commercial, medical, and corporate priorities into clear plans
  • Lead strategic planning sessions and major client reviews
  • Ensure deliverables reflect strong thinking and clear direction
  • Own senior client relationships
  • Lead client meetings independently
  • Identify risks and opportunities across accounts
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across teams
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client work
  • Support new business efforts including pitches and proposals
  • Contribute to overall account growth
  • Mentor Engagement Leads and junior team members
  • Guide teams through complex workstreams
  • Support strong collaboration across teams
  • Help improve delivery efficiency and prioritization

Requirements

  • 8 to 12+ years of experience in healthcare communications within an agency
  • Strong background in PR or corporate communications
  • Experience working with biotech, pharma, or life sciences clients
  • Familiarity with FDA and regulatory considerations
  • Proven ability to lead client relationships independently
  • Strong strategic thinking with the ability to connect work to business outcomes
  • Commercial awareness and comfort contributing to growth efforts
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once and stay focused under pressure
  • Clear communicator who can guide both clients and internal teams
  • High level of ownership and accountability
