Job Summary

Drive AFC Scholarship Fund’s EFTC education content strategy across editorial, SEO, and partnerships to convert and inform, owning content lifecycle end-to-end.

  • Own the content architecture, workflow, and publishing across formats (AI-assisted drafting, Wordpress)
  • Must-have: 8+ years in content with conversion results
  • Standout: Build thought leadership and executive POV across formats and channels

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Own the content that earns trust at scale: family stories, impact proof, credibility assets, and explainers that reduce friction and build conviction
  • Translate the EFTC mechanism accurately and compellingly — donation first, tax credit follows — across every format including long-form, video scripts, and landing page copy
  • Hold the compliance line on every asset: the mechanism must be sequenced correctly. This is a legal and trust standard, not a style preference
  • Own organic discovery across traditional search and AI-retrieved content — ChatGPT citations, Perplexity, etc...
  • Build a durable, authoritative knowledge architecture: well-structured, internally linked, consistently maintained
  • Produce content that wins on intent alignment, not keyword volume.
  • Must be comfortable being hands on taking content created by AI and pushing live through Wordpress
  • Build the organizational thought leadership strategy — establishing AFC Scholarship Fund as the authoritative voice on the EFTC and education opportunity philanthropy
  • Develop the executive and institutional POV across formats: op-eds, bylines, commentary, and webinars
  • Own the content that initially feeds email and newsletter, and earned media — supplying angles and drafts to a PR agency that owns the press relationships. Expanding to Organic Social feeds organic social (LinkedIn, X, Facebook) later.
  • Note: the voice architecture for thought leadership is an open strategic question. This role helps answer it.
  • Content Operations: Design and run the editorial workflow: briefing, AI-assisted drafting, review, approval, publish
  • Coordinate with video producers, the web team so content ships correctly and on schedule
  • Own the content calendar. Define what ships and what doesn't.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in content, editorial, or growth content — with a track record of content built to convert, not just inform
  • Editorial or journalism rigor: you hold the standard under deadline pressure
  • Proven ability to make complex subject matter — tax, policy, financial products — accessible without dumbing it down
  • Fluent with AI drafting tools; you direct and edit, you don't wait for a brief
  • Experience feeding multiple channels from a single content system — social, email, web, earned
  • Comfortable as a hands-on IC; this role ships work, not decks

Nice To Have

  • DTC, financial services, or cause-based content background where conversion stakes were real
  • Experience building a thought leadership program — executive voice, institutional POV, expert commentary
  • SEO architecture and AI-retrieval optimization experience
  • PR agency coordination experience
